Who am I, really?
I’m blushing, you’re curious about me! Well, here are the cliff notes: I immigrated to the US with my family at age 14, in 2001 (yeah, you can do the math and quickly figure out that I am, in fact, older than Taylor Swift). We landed in sunny San Diego by way of Russia and Palestine, from whence my parents hailed. After finishing college and enjoying almost a decade of weatherlessness in California, I moved out east to explore the other coast in Pennsylvania (Phillies fans anyone??) and then 3ish years later to the friendliest non-coast, the Midwest, in snowy Michigan (go Wolverines!) for graduate school.
In early 2018 I made another hop back to California, this time to Sacramento, where I began my work as a budget analyst for the state in the heart of the state’s capital. I love my 9 to 5, unlike some folks, and being a public servant has some serious perks.
But photography has always had my heart, and the love affair that has landed you on this page is an expression of that hobby turned passion, turned business. I’m thrilled you’re here.
